Hello All
Thought I'd give you a little update on our wonderful Barney. He's had his second injection at the Vet's (who was completely charmed by him) and a general check and all is well. He behaved beautifully and didn't seem to mind the jab (though he was busy at the time tucking into a milk biscuit). The Vet thought he was a great specimen of a puppy and also thought he was going to be VERY friendly, I think so too.
He is now 2.3 kgs, so about double the weight at 8 weeks. He is such a good boy now at night and doesn't fuss at all, he just cuddles up to his toy doggie in his bed and is as good as gold. We're still not there yet with the housetraining but we're working on it!! He is good in the car too, so I give him 10 out of 10.
He hasn't changed that much in looks, so won't send a photo for a week or so but I thought I'd let you know how things are going.
I'm trying to get him used to a collar and lead just in the garden at the moment. He doesn't like it much and manages to do somersaults and bite the lead but I will persevere! It's been quite difficult finding a collar that is small enough. Even the ones that are sized as small, he manages to pull his head out of, but I've found one (a silky material one) that is better than most and I try leaving it on for longer and longer each day. He fusses and scratches at it for a while then seems to forget it for a bit, then remembers he doesn't like it and starts scratching it all over again. I'm determined to win though!!
Hope you're all well and that all the other puppies are doing well. Will write again soon and send you some up to date pics.Take care,
regards,
Joan and Barney xx

Hello! Just want to give an up date on our gorgeous fluff ball Harley. He's is 11 months know and we are finding it hard to remember what life was without him.
He's enormously well natured and we have people come up to him and ask us what he is because he's beautiful! we have inspired our whole family to get a cockapoo (especially from you).
We all can't thank you enough and hope everything is going well! we'll send some pictures to you. Thanks again for everything
Julie and the family

Re: Barney
Hi All
Thought I'd give you an update on our Barney. He's doing really well and is almost 5 months old now. Last time I had him weighed he was 5.15 kg. We all love him to bits and he's now such an important part of the family. My grandchildren adore him and he loves them. He's very intelligent, though a bit stubborn, and now goes to classes. He will come when called, if he's a mind to!!! Will sit and go down for a treat. He's a bit of a pickle in the garden and can often be found digging big holes in the flower beds and then sitting in them, which I have to say is quite funny. Have decided not to put any annuals in the beds this year, so by next year I'm sure he will have got it out of his system. He loves twigs and bits of wood, which I often find on the carpet and has crazy moments when he runs at full pelt in the lounge, into the dining room, out into the garden and back again. Having said all that, I wouldn't be without him. Oh! by the way, if I sing (which I sometimes do) he sits on the floor, flings back his head and howls. I don't know what that says about my singing, or if he is just joining in. Am taking him to a friend who clips dogs (she used to do my Westies) and she's going to have a look at him and just tidy him up a bit.
Hope you are all well. Good luck Sue with your upcoming litter. Will stay in touch.
Regards
Joan & Tony
