Re: Bertie

Hi Sue & Andy

Just a few photo's of Bertie's first holiday in the Isle of Wight, we picked a good week as the sun shone continuously. After a cautious start we couldn't keep Bertie out of the sea, he loved it and as for digging in the sand there was no stopping him, although he did spoil a rather nice sand castle some children made by trying to help, luckily he won them over with his charm! We had lots a lovely walks most with a pub at the end for a nice cold beer for us and lots of water for Bertie! Everyone commented on how well behaved he is and for such a young pup, he sat quietly with a toy or a treat whilst we ate meals.

We truly have never spoken to so many people whilst on holiday, we were stopped constantly asking if they could pet Berties, and lots of questions about him ....... he was a real hit. He is always happy in the car but was not so sure of the ferry and spent most of the crossing on either Carl's or my lap, the hotel we stayed at was one recommended in a holiday with dogs book and facilities were excellent, staff very caring ..... more doggy people than people people!!! He sleeping in our room (we took his own bed) which wasn't a problem, he also settled back down to sleeping downstairs when we returned home without any fuss too. The holiday was a real success, although I can tell you I was a bit worried taking him away at just six months!!!!

Bertie has grown so much and has had his hair cut twice already, which he's not overly keen on, but lovely the ladies in the shop who make such a fuss of him.

Thank you once again for such lovely, beautiful pup!

Regards

Michaela & Carl.

Re Harvey

Hi Sue & Andy,

Thought I'd write and let you know how Harvey is doing and I have also attached a couple of photographs taken at 12 and 1/2 weeks with our friends' dog Harrison.

He has now attended 2 of his 8 training classes which consists of Harvey and 8 other puppies and is having a great time. He is very quick to learn commands and is doing most things well. We were doing an introduction to walking to heel at the class on Thursday evening and he was brilliant at it, we were so proud of him and when we put it into practice on Friday night when we took him walking on the cycle track, he walked off the lead and to heel like an expert. He is also very good at sitting and waiting at the kerb before we cross any roads (but does get distracted if there are other people around). He loves his walks to the park and already knows the way, to the point that if I try to change the route he wants to go the other way! Everyone who meets him is very complimentary about how gorgeous he is and how well behaved and obedient he is for his age which again fills us with the utmost pride. He has been a great way to meet people as we have lived here for 2 years and didn't know very many people but since taking him out on the street over the past fortnight we have met more people in that time in our village than we have in the past 2 years. He has also been to stay at his Grandma & Grandpa's house overnight a couple of times as they are puppy sitting when we go on holiday and they loved having him and again commented on how quick he was to learn where the door was when he needed to toilet in the garden. I will miss him dreadfully when we go away but at least I know he will be in good hands and will be getting spoiled the way we would ourselves.

Hope you are both well and it's great to read the other endorsements and catch up with the progress of his brothers and sister on the website. I'm already trying to talk Ken into having another puppy this time next year to keep Harvey company so please put us on the wish list nearer the time.

Lots of love,

Yvonne, Ken and Lauren xx

Re Alfie

Hi Andy and Sue,

Just a quick note to let you know that Alfie is doing fine. He is finally out walking this week which he absolutely loves. His house training isn’t going too well but he will get there in the end. He is a real character always into everything, we love him to bits. He starts puppy classes in a few weeks so we are all looking forward to that. He is fantastic with other dogs and children. We have attached some photos for you the first two were taken this week and the last one was when he was 8wks days after we picked him up.

Thank you for a lovely dog,

Regards,

Sara and Nigel
