Re: Charlie

Hi Andy and Sue hope you are both well, we just wanted to let you know how Charlie is doing, we have taken some photos of him this week to show you how he has changed. He seems to have really grown and is now one of the biggest puppy's in our obedience class, which we have just finished. While we were there he made a friend called Rosie and is now a lot more confident around other dogs. He now weights 4kg, most of which I think is fur. As you cans see from the photo's he needs his fur trimming around his eyes, we have booked him in at a dog grooming parlour we do not know how he manages to see. He is still attracting everyone's attention when we take him for a walk. We have let him of the lead a couple of times and he is really good, he always comes back to us when told, he loves running around the field. He is such a beautiful puppy and very intelligent he can, sit, down, stand, stay, fetch, come, roll over, paw and go round in a circle on command and we have not even started puppy training yet. He is still making us laugh, he loves picking up and playing with people’s slippers and socks, and he will do anything for some fresh cooked chicken. Because he is such a good boy in the car, we are planning some doggy days out soon, which we are all looking forward to. We will keep you updated on how Charlie is doing .With kind regards Pam, Mike and family.

Re: Barney

Dear Sue and Andy,

Hope you are keeping well.

I thought it was about time you had an update on Barney’s progress:

Already he is 15 months old and quite a big boy for his kind at 17 inches at the shoulder!! He has a personality to match too, being very playful and full of mischief but also very gentle both with people and with other dogs.

As you know I am training him up ready to compete at agility and he’s doing great. He is booked in for his first go at ‘junior’ level in a competition at Snetterton near Thetford in early October.

Next Sunday we are off to run Poppy in a competition near Ely and we plan to have Barney officially ‘measured’ to determine his jumping height at Kennel Club shows. I’m still hoping he will come in at ‘medium’ (that is 17 inches or under), otherwise he will be expected to compete against all the larger breeds jumping at 26 inches! Not very fair is it?

If he is registered as ‘large’, I won’t bother running him at KC shows. Instead he can run with an alternative group known as UK Agility who have an intermediate jumping height for those ‘in between’ dogs. They call it their ‘standard’ height. I only wish the KC would get their act together on this one!

The other day I took half a dozen photos of Barney and Poppy playing with a squeaky toy so I will attach a couple to this email and send the others on 2 other emails so as not to jam the works. Hope you like them, and what do you think of my big boy then?

I regularly visit your website and enjoyed watching your last litter develop until they went off to their families. Your dogs and their puppies are a credit to you both

Re: Bobby

Dear Sue and Andy,

Hope you are enjoying the summer, we are, having had a fabulous week weather wise in the Isle of wight. Bobby had his first haircut just before we went as he was finding it a bit warm. He completely won over the woman who did it with his charms, by her own admissions she is not overly keen on the sudden rise in popularity of cross breeding and is a poodle breeder but Bobby she said was absolutely gorgeous with such a beautiful nature for a young dog. He is I can honestly say so good and takes anything new in his stride. He adored the great outdoors camping but was useless at rabbit chasing! The sea not his favourite place but the beach, people and picnics, ice-creams? he loves them all. Whenever we went for walks it took twice as long because everone wanted to stop and talk to him and to find out what he was. i have enclosed a few photos of him taking it easy on holiday and his before and after haircut photos he could suddenly see! and will be in contact again soon. We so love your website as its wonderful to see how the others are growing, changing and hearing their stories too. we can never thank you enough for this most wonderful member of our family.

with best wishes Steph, Jon and family
